Scripture Union Groups

SU groups work within Scottish Government guidelines and with the permission of the headteacher.  SU Groups run as an informal part of the curriculum; creating a place for young people to explore, learn, and reflect.  They are places to bring friends, share ideas, and enjoy time together.  Through storytelling, open discussions, encouraging questions, and sharing experiences pupils are invited to discover where faith can play a part in individual lives and the community.

Every SU Group is different.  Primary or secondary school, large or small, it just depends on who comes along.  Some groups are led by pupils, others by staff or parent volunteers.

Curriculum Events

K2 works at the invitation of schools to partner in a variety of ways. Presenting assemblies, RME (religious and moral education) input, and other big events.

We develop our work for schools in line with the purpose of Curriculum for Excellence: to help pupils develop and communicate their own beliefs as confident individuals, and to make informed choices as responsible citizens.

Church Work

K2 works with local churches to equip, resource, and enable them to work effectively in schools;

engaging with children and young people. Working alongside churches to help children and young people where they are at.

K2 works with Churches in Cupar, the East Neuk, and St Andrews on a variety of projects, chaplaincy teams, holiday clubs, and youth events.

Could we partner with you?

About: What We Do

Who we are

The work of K2 is managed by a committee of volunteers and overseen by volunteer trustees.  They give their time, energy, and finance to enable the work to happen.  Some of their faces are familiar to schools as they also help with events and SU Groups.

We employ a worker who coordinates the work and leads many of the programmes and groups.

K2's trustees are listed on the left and the Management group on the right.

Here at K2, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all. Our decision making process is informed by comprehensive empirical studies and high quality data evaluation. We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.
